Volunteer with the Toronto Tamil International Film Festival
The Toronto Tamil International Film Festival (TTIFF) owes much of its success to the incredible dedication and contribution of our volunteers.
As a festival that values community involvement, teamwork, and a welcoming atmosphere, we rely on passionate individuals who generously contribute their time and talents to help bring our festival to life.
We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, responsible, and sociable volunteers who would like to be part of an exciting international film festival experience in Toronto.
With a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available throughout the festival, we will do our best to match your interests, experience, and skills with the right role.
Check-In & Information Attendant
Greet and welcome filmmakers, guests, VIPs, media representatives, and attendees to TTIFF.
Assist with guest arrivals, ticket verification, registration, and check-in while helping ensure a smooth and welcoming experience. Provide information and directions regarding festival venues, screening schedules, events, workshops, and other festival activities.
Concessions / Merchandise Attendant
Welcome attendees and provide friendly customer service at festival merchandise or concession areas.
Help maintain an attractive and organized booth or table, assist customers with festival merchandise, and handle transactions when required.
Screening / Workshop / Panel Room Attendant
Assist with the operation of film screening rooms, workshops, and panel discussions.
Ensure rooms are ready before each program, assist with seating when required, welcome attendees, answer general questions, and support technicians, filmmakers, moderators, and festival staff as needed.
Awards Gala Usher
Volunteers assisting with the Awards Ceremony & Gala Night are requested to wear formal attire.
Help manage guest entrance lines, welcome attendees, assist with seating arrangements, guide guests to their designated seats or tables, and help maintain a smooth flow throughout the Awards Ceremony and Gala.
Event Operations Crew
Assist with festival setup and breakdown, room preparation, signage, equipment, and venue transitions.
Volunteers may also assist as stagehands, backstage crew, event support staff, and with other operational duties throughout the festival.
